The bissell company produces a variety of machines designed to clean hard floors and carpet. Use a flat blade screwdriver to open the latch on the belt access door located on the side of the unit. If spray comes out of the spray tip after cleaning reattach the tool and check for spray if there is no spray coming out of the tool a new tool should be ordered. Remove the tank and set it aside.

If there still is no spray turn machine off and unplug. Test to see if the machine lost its prime wait one minute turn the power on and then press trigger. After extended use it is possible for the carpet cleaner to malfunction by not dispensing water. Make sure that the water tank is full.
